On 7 December 2025, I logged a memorable long-distance DX contact from India with F5PYI, operated by Laurent in France (Grid: JN25ii). The QSO took place on the 20-meter band (14.250 MHz, USB), one of the most reliable bands for intercontinental communication.
According to the QRZ line-of-sight calculation, this contact covered an impressive 6660.5 km between VU27UT (India) and F5PYI (France). Band conditions on 20m were excellent, offering a clear path to Europe. Laurent’s signal was strong and steady, making the exchange smooth and enjoyable.
Every successful DX contact adds a special moment to the logbook, and this India-to-France QSO is another highlight in my ham radio journey. These experiences keep the excitement alive and remind me why the 20-meter band remains a favorite among hams worldwide.
Looking forward to many more DX connections across the globe.
